The First ever experience of YuMetta Foundation to organise “Go To The People Youth Camp” in Northeast India at Don Bosco Socio Technical Institute, Mission Chariali, Tezpur Assam from 6th of January to 11th of January 2023 was a good learning about the strengths and potentials of youth of our country. The camp aimed at bringing together sensitive individuals from the age group of 18 to 30 years from various backgrounds to the soil of Assam who want to live a meaningful life by understanding their own strengths and accepting their weaknesses.
YuMetta Foundation is a group of interdisciplinary professionals in health, education and environment who believe in paying back to the society in their own capacity. We as a group help youth understand self and search ways to lead a purposeful life through a series of camps focusing on one’s journey inwards and later journey outwards to understand the society, surroundings and challenges present within and outside.
At Tezpur DBSTI campus in Assam, there were more than 65 participants from different geographical area of Assam namely Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Silchar, Golaghat, Karbi-Anglong, Barpeta, Chirang, Udalguri and Tezpur. All the participants were from different educational and occupational backgrounds, such as Doctors, Pharmacists, NGO workers, accountant, sales person, other employees and students from different streams.
The Main Theme of this Camp was “JOURNEY INWARDS”
The 6 day camp featured, Self Introspection, Debates and Brainstorming, sessions on various topics by experts, Group discussion, Role Play by participants, Games and Fun activities
